Signup for Supper Six for September, October, and November 2008 is ongoing until the end of August. The signup sheet will be in the Parish Hall between the services and after the 10:00am service. Or, if it’s more convenient for you, call John or Deborah Ruhsenberger at 259-4545 to signup. Additionally, you may e-mail us at johndeb1960@thevillages.net. Whichever way works for you is good for us. The important thing is to signup.  The finished assignment sheets will be ready for pickup in the Parish Hall on September 7. Remind your friends about Supper Six.

Thursday, August 14, at 6:30 p.m. in the Parish Hall musical pot luck supper.  Glen Lewis will provide music. The Guild will provide fried chicken and the women are asked to bring the following, based on the your last name. 

     A to I -- veggies or salad

J to R -- breads or starches

S to Z --desserts. 

Bring along your husband or significant other if you like.  But please sign up at the Guild bulletin board in the Parish Hall so we know how much chicken to order.

St. George Solos

Tuesday, August 19th, at 6 PM, come to Betty Reese’s home, 3570 Reston Dr., Village of Belle Aire, for a sing-a-long. Bring a salad or a dessert (there will be a sign up sheet) and your own drink and sing your little heart out, as Betty accompanies you on her piano. We’ll be back in September, and invite  new people who would like to join us. There is no more rewarding ministry than the choir. Please see Barbara Coulter, or call her at 751-7311, if you’d like to be part of it.

Save the date  ~~ Sunday, October 26th 4pm ~~ ST. GEORGE HYMN SING  

October 26th is the Sunday before All Saints Day, a time when we reflect upon the saints who have gone before us, especially our family members. Think of all those “good old” hymns, praise songs, spirituals and gospel songs they taught us in our childhood. One nice way to remember our loved ones is to enjoy singing what they taught us, and we’ll do this at the St. George Hymn Sing. We’ll also include your favorites from the 1940 and 1982 Hymnals. Please mark your calendars for Sunday, October 26th at 4:00 p.m. Following the Hymn Sing, we will go across the street to the The La Hacienda Center where we have reserved a room for refreshments and fellowship. Let me know your musical requests by October 20th and I’ll do my best to include them. BILL GAITHER HOMECOMING TOUR. At St Pete Times Forum in Tampa Fl.  Date Friday, January 24 or Saturday, January 25 2009.  Approximate cost per person $50.10.        

HOLY LAND EXPERIENCE. (Easter Show) Thursday, March 26, 2009 approximate cost $50 per person this includes roundtrip transportation, Driver Gratuity $1.00 each and Lunch.
